一、课程介绍(含教学目标、教学要求等)(300字以内)
本课程主要介绍图像与视频处理的基本原理、梳理主流算法,着重培养研究生在图像与视频处理专业及相关领域分析问题、建立模型的能力。本课程以图像复原几编码为主要线索,广泛涉及到图像的Fourier分析、边沿检测、代数与统计复原、偏微分方程及变分法模型、小波图像处理、图像编码、运动图像分析等内容。

本课程包含四个教学单元,基础知识单元(1-5章),代数与统计图像复原单元(6-7章),分析数学模型单元(8-10章),小波图像处理及编码应用单元(11-14章)。分章内容如下:

四、主讲教师简介:
王桥,教授、博士生导师。信号与信息处理国家重点学科主任。1966年3月出生于安徽省安庆市。在武汉大学获得理学学士(1988)、硕士(1994)和博士(1997)学位,2001年在东南大学无线电工程系破格晋升为教授,2003年批准为博士生导师。2003年1月——2004年1月在美国哈佛大学任高级访问学者。主要从事信号处理、图像处理与传输及其相关的数据挖掘等课题研究。历年来主持国家自然科学基金等科研项目,并且合作承担了科技部863计划项目、江苏省产学研科技成果转化项目等,在包括《IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing》、《Journal of Physics》、《Computers and Mathematics with Applications》、《Nano Letters》、《Frontiers in Bioscience》、《Image and Vision Computing》、《Computer Vision and Image Understanding》、《Wireless Personal Communications》等一系列国际著名期刊发表过学术论文。

Course Introduction (including teaching goals and requirements) within 300 words:
This course focuses on the principles of image and video processing as well as the evolution of ideas in various algorithms, in order to increase the ability of students in analyzing and modeling in image processing and related fields. The contents spread around image restoration and coding, including Fourier analysis in image analysis, edge detection, algebraic and statistical restoration, partial differential equations based image processing, wavelet decomposition based image processing and coding, and motion image analysis.

Brief Introduction of Chief lecturer:
WANG Qiao, born in Anqing in 1966. He received the BS, MS and D.Sc degrees in 1988, 1994 and 1997 respectively, all in Mathematics from Wuhan University, Wuhan, China. He was post-doc fellow in the Department of Radio Engineering of Southeast University in 1997, then joined the faculty in 1999 as associate
professor, and was promoted to full professor since 2001. He was a visiting scientist in School of Engineering and Applied Sciences of Harvard University from 2003 to 2004. Since 2007 he was the Director of Signal and Information Processing Laboratory, a national key discipline, in Southeast University, with direct responsibility for more than 30 faculty members. His current interests include both theoretical research and software/hardware system design in the fields of signal processing, image processing, wireless network, and mobile multimedia. He published a series of papers in international referred journals, such as Journal of Physics, IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, Computers and Mathematics with Applications, Nano Letters, Frontiers in Bioscience, Image and Vision Computing, Computer Vision and Image Understanding, Wireless Personal Communications etc. He holds four patents in mobile TV and P2P stream media.
